Caroline Llorca is recognized worldwide as a specialist of the Petipa´s repertoire, as well as the Vaganova method.
She was awarded a government scolarship to study in Russia and became the first French dancer to graduate the legendary Vaganova school in the classe of Natalia M.Doudinskaia.
Her unique knowledge of both French and Russian schools attracted immediately Ballet companies, and she became ballet-mistress at age 21.
Her productions of Paquita and Pas de 4 in Paris, acclaimed by the press, received immediately government support.

Ballet mistress of the Boston Ballet (1990-95), her work with the corps and coaching of the ballerinas for Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty and Giselle got unanimous acclaims and contributed to rank the company among the finest in the world.
In 1998 and 2001, she staged Don Quixote and La Bayadère, for the National Ballet Company of Mexico; Both were acclaimed as “cultural events of the year”.
Appointed Ballet Professorin at the University of Performing Arts in Munich. From 2001 on, her efforts to develop a new generation of German dancers have been very successful.
She was distinguished with France's Ordre National du Mérite in 2011.
2017 will be Ms. Llorca's first time as a judge for VKIBC.
